Foreign Things

Emotions did not come easily.
Strange and petty human things.
A weakness.

But now I'm not so sure I want to...

In both the anime and manga Sebastian starts off very detached and far too much so to be human, which of course he isn't. But as the series progresses he gets so much more emotional. Especially in the second series.
Some people may argue that in episode ten of the second series where Claude has stolen Ciel, Sebastian is only that angry because he wants Ciel soul... But do you REALLY believe that? Seriously?
Now, I'm not saying it's because they have some sort of forbidden love, but there's definitely some kind of companionship there. Whether it's simply platonic or something more there is definitely an air of camaraderie and love.
And if you don't believe me, then just look at Sebastian's face at the end of episode nine when Ciel orders him away. That hurt, horrified and rejected look is burned onto the inside of my skull!

Focusing more on the manga now, in some of the latest chapters there's even more proof that he now feels tons more human emotions. Those recent flashbacks that Undertaker induced, the first night that they were back at Ciel's mansion Sebastian was just human enough not to terrify Ciel.
If you them jump back into the present when they're on the Campania there is so much fear in Sebastian's face when Ciel falls off the mezzanine level of the ballroom.

It may be that I've read too much fanfiction (which is a definite possibility), but I swear that if there were a few chapters or an episode were Sebastian had an inner monologue, emotions would be mentions at least once!

I say all this because the look on my face was just a little too chilled/pitting to get away with the more detached Sebby ^-^
